FAST EMS

FAST EMS was originally founded with the understanding that organizations will need Professional Emergency and Sports Medical Services as part of a proactive risk management program.

Any organization that develops or sponsors an event which hosts a large gathering of people is automatically at risk to the possibility of an accident or medical emergency.

When a medical emergency occurs, timing can make the difference between life and death. No matter where you are geographically, local EMS services generally cannot respond fast enough to save someone from a Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA).

Toronto has about 3,000 SCAs annually, with less than 5% of victims surviving the ordeal. Studies show that the first 5-10 minutes are critical to survival. Thus, having professional responders on-site can and does save lives.

Did you know that serious sports injuries can happen at any age & skill level, including non-contact sports? Accidents are just a part of life in sports. As part of a proactive Risk Management Plan, organizers need to anticipate such emergencies.

Benefits:

Having our trained responders available at your sports event demonstrates to participants that you have all bases covered. Although many teams may already have a trainer, our services will be a valuable asset in conjunction with their own skills and experience. For example, we will be able to help spectators needing medical assistance allowing the team trainers to focus on the team rather than the entire event.

You will have peace of mind knowing help is on-site. In some cases, our fees could be offset by better insurance rates.

We cater to the needs of the sporting event by providing Athletic therapists and/or Sports First Responders. In addition to EMS training, our sports injury attendants hold qualifications and training in sports injury management.

Producers and Production Managers: FAST EMS can provide personnel for standby on your set to deliver First Aid EMS services.
