December 2011

The following letter is from a student that has had a couple of opportunities to use her training;

Dear Fast EMS

My training that I have undertaken each year with Bill has been life saving-literally. Very shortly after my first training I was in a situation where an 82 yr old man collapsed and had a heart attack in the street in my local neighborhood. No one knew what to do and with my new training I was told I saved his life and knew how to manage the situation and chaos around me until the ambulance arrived. I feel confident after the training that I can cope in various emergencies and I urge anyone especially those who are parents to get armed with these skills.

Bill

I participated in your Hockey trainers program on Sunday October 17. That night I attended a adult women's hockey game in Mississauga. I help out behind the bench. The level of hockey is at the beginners stage. There was a hard collision between two players near the blue line. One of the lady's helmet came in contact with the other lady wire face guard. I asked her how she was doing. She told me that she was a little shaken up but doing fine.

I told her that she may have suffered a concussion and informed her of the signs and symptoms. I have since learnt that she did suffer a concussion and attended a hospital later that evening.

Thanks.
L. LOMBARDI

I’m happy to report that we have processed 161 drivers through the First Aid course all of whom now have their certificates in compliance with Board requirements.

The instructor we used was very professional and was able to manage both small groups of up to 15 as well as a large group of 70, with assistance from his network of other professionals.

Should any of the other divisions under your supervision require a dedicated, professional instructor, I would not hesitate to recommend him.
His name is Bill Yager and his company is First Aid Service Teams.
